EU AI Act & AI literacy
The EU AI Act is the first comprehensive AI legislation in the world. Article 4 states that all organizations deploying AI systems must ensure their staff has sufficient AI literacy. This applies to every company, regardless of size or sector.
From August 2026 this will be enforced. Organizations that cannot demonstrate their employees have sufficient AI knowledge risk fines. This test helps you measure your current knowledge level.

Yes, the test is completely free. We only ask for your name and email before you start, so we can prepare your certificate if you score 70% or higher.
Expect 15 to 20 minutes. You get 55 multiple-choice questions across 11 modules. After each answer you see immediately if it was correct, including a short explanation.
The test contains 11 modules: What is AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI & LLMs, AI Ethics & Bias, Data & Privacy, EU AI Act, AI in the Workplace, AI Tools, Critical Thinking about AI, AI Strategy & Implementation and AI Agents.
With a score of 70% or higher you receive an AI Literacy certificate from AI Agent. The certificate contains a unique verification code that employers and colleagues can use to verify your result.
The certificate shows you have basic knowledge of AI, including the EU AI Act. It's not an official government certificate, but it is a substantiated test of your AI knowledge that employers can verify via our website.
You don't need to create an account. We only ask for your name and email before you start, so your certificate is ready immediately if you score high enough.
Yes, you can take the test as many times as you want. Each new result is independent of previous attempts.
The test covers the topics relevant to AI literacy as intended in Article 4 of the EU AI Act. It's a good first step to test your knowledge. For full compliance we also recommend our Academy workshops.
The test is currently available in Dutch. All questions, answers and explanations are in Dutch.
